Francisco Cunha

Francisco Cunha was born in Montevideo. He is a draftsman, illustrator and graphic designer. Founder of the Montevideo Drawing Club, Gráfica Ilustra- da del Uruguay and of Mundial, design studio. Drawing is the main language of his creations in the field of art, graphics, animation and illustration. His work has been exhibited in Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Bogotá and New York. Uruguay’s National Illustration Prize for the series “Un día de chats”, also selected for the international Illustrators Exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. In 2018, it became an album released in Argentina and Uruguay. In 2019, he edited his second book “Tilín-Tilín” with Martín Azam- buja. And he also receives a special mention in the 2019 Uruguay National Illustration Award.
