Québec BD is a non-profit organization whose primary focus is to create, organize and administer events or promotional initiatives for comics, for the benefit of the general public. In addition, Québec BD works to help the Quebec comic scene to grow by allowing authors and various stakeholders in the publishing of comics to meet, exchange and be at the heart of various activities in Quebec and abroad.

Its event, the Festival Québec BD, started in 1988 and is the oldest event devoted to comics in Canada. From a humble event bringing together few authors and parallel activities, the FQBD has become an event renowned for the quantity and quality of its guests and its activities. In doing so, over the years, the organization has also forged its place on the national and international scene, in addition to developing many activities throughout the year with various partners, including exhibits, residencies and promotional missions.
